Lace is a beautiful material, and things made of them definitely catch the eye. In our store we have a huge selection of high quality Italian lace. To maintain proper quality, lace requires special care. However, do you know how to wash and care for lace so that it retains its unusual appearance for a long time?
Lace is openwork threads that together form a certain pattern. For their manufacture, various threads are used, but most often they are cotton or linen. Traditionally, they are made crochet or with a needle.
During ordinary washing in a washing machine, the threads can easily be damaged: tear, wipe or discolor. However, if you decide to wash the lace creation in a washing machine, you should put it in a special bag. Only gentle means should be used for washing. When hand washing, you can add a little borax to the water, which softens the water and gently whitens the material. After washing, the crown should not be unscrewed. Clothing should be gently squeezed out of excess water and hung until completely dry.
It is also important how lace clothes are stored so as not to destroy them. It's best to keep them away from things that might hook, spoil the pattern, or damage it.
